Zynga launches it's second Slingo cross promotion in Hidden Chronicles...

Clicking the Slingo 'PLAY NOW' Icon on the right side of the game screen to launch the game

Once you are in you just need to get every number on 10 boards.

Those of you who have played Zynga Slingo before this should be very easy to accomplish and you've might already have 10 Full Cards... It completed instantly for me.

Last week Zynga put this message up on their HC forum:

We will be hosting a LIVE event next Tuesday, 5/8! To prepare, play Hidden Chronicles! Pay attention to all the items in the scenes, especially the clues!

My feelings about HC...

A friend sent me this picture, I think it echos the feelings of many of the HC community out there...


What happened to the hidden object game?  Seems like Zynga is taking too long to fix the many errors in the game, delays in releasing new scenes to keep us playing, avoidance in making more land available to us... creating a bunch of angry, bored players that are leaving the game.


Looks like we've got a re-hashing of old fast find scenes that we need to unlock so we can pay 10 energy to get all new high scores? The coin fountain? Cambodian Temple? Gates of Ishtar? Only one new one new scene (Stage coach sorry no trophies) since about mid April.  Do you think Zynga is hurting for money? Is that why we are constantly bombarded with ads to buy estate cash or tricked into spending it by the placement of buttons?


I'm really hoping for a land expansion and more scenes to play without those two the game has ground to a stand still...


It's really a shame this game had a real possibility to be one of the best game on facebook but I'm uncertain of it's future.

Energy cost on Replay button

"Hi Guardians,

We have received reports from players who were asked to “replay” a scene for a fixed amount and were charged more energy than the stated cost. For example, players were asked to “replay” a scene for 3 energy, but were then charged 9 energy.

The Hidden Chronicles studio needs to gather some information from you to help us find a permanent fix for this issue.
Please fill out this quick form for us. We will then notify you once a fix has been applied.

Coin Fountain

Make a wish for more land with this lucky fountain.

I guess it will good for people with lots of extra energy and not enough coins???

Zynga wants to know what you think about the fountain.

Requirements to build:

Mosaic Tile | Fintail Goldfish | Aqua Vitae

You can throw in 2 energy every 10 seconds and get an experience point or 2 and some coins.

(The lowest I've gotten is 51 coins and the highest so far is around 1563)

UPDATE: I got asked to place and build a second coin fountain.  

Now there is three of them :/

Zynga has just added the ability to sell the fountain(s)

I heard that the fountain costs have been changed to 2 energy for everyone

so this chart isn't that helpful anymore...

Troubleshooting

For a game that is constantly evolving, it is almost unavoidable that problems will arrive.


Here are some common troubleshooting steps that might get the game up and working again.  These are usually the first steps Zynga asks you to try.

Before Contacting Zynga... 


 Here's a few troublshooting tips:


-Clear the system cache to remove possibly corrupted files.

• Read more about clearing the cache here

              You do not need to clear your cookies or history.

-Try another browser. Is the same error happening with Google Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer? 

(It's a good idea to check if you have the most current version)

-Uninstall and reinstall the game. Don't worry your progress won't be lost.

Uninstall Game

1. Log in to your account.
2. Click the Account tab in the upper right hand corner.
3. Select the Privacy Settings option in the Account drop down menu.
4. Locate Applications and Websites at the bottom of the page and click Edit your settings.
5. Click Edit Settings next to the Applications you use option.
6. Click the X icon to the right of any application you wish to remove.
7. Confirm that you want to remove the application by clicking Remove to remove the application completely from your account.
8. Reinstall Game

Some tips from Zynga support about information you can give them to speed up resolution of your issue...

"It's always helpful if you can provide the following in the body of your email:

* A short but clear description of the issue you are experiencing.
* What are the exact steps that lead to the error?
* How often does this issue occur?
* What type of Internet browser and what version of that browser are you using?
* What Flash version are you using? (To find your Flash Player version, just load the app,  right click somewhere on your estate, a pop-up will appear and collect the series of numbers next to "About Adobe Flash Player")
* Did the game generate any error messages?
* If so, include a screenshot of the error message.
* What type of Internet connection do you have? (DSL, cable, etc)
* User ID or Email address used to log into Facebook.
* Your email address where we can contact you
* Your consent to be willing to help us, for instance we may have to run some test on your account to determine what the root cause of your issue is."

Looking for neighbors?


Neighbors are necessity to get ahead in the game. Seems like we can never have enough.

Even if they don't appear in our game to visit, they still can helpful returning gifts or requested items or clicking on our posts and posting for things that we can click on to help each other out :)

Remember: Be a good and helpful neighbor!

I usually send a personal message out to other people that are still on the list, just cause facebook has some weird rules about adding people and getting in trouble for sending out too many friend requests.

Estate Expansion Chart

For those who haven't expanded their estates fully might find this helpful in planning out how they want to expand.

Basically it shows the requirements for the first 48 unlockable plots of land that we can own.

Each plot is 8 X 8... so that's 48 X 72
Someone asked if a million EP Estate is possible that would mean about 290 ep per square

Navigating Zynga Support

Start of from the Zynga Support site (http://support.zynga.com)...

Then Click HC from the list of games on the Left.

Click on your issue if it is listed there if not do a search to bring up an article.

Once you've loaded up an article you'll see the Zynga logo and underneath a link to "Get Started" (if it isn't there then click on a post) then click "Facebook Login" that should fill in your information, you might need to fill any missing information (like your email address)... click Submit to go to the next screen.

*Sometimes at this point hitting the back button on your browser or clicking on HC on the left of the screen will cause the 'Chat Live' link to appear in the top right hand corner. (if there are agents available)

if there isn't an agent available you'll only see the email link

You can refresh the page until the live chat logo shows up or...

Otherwise just continue filling out the the second page of the form to send Zynga email...

You'll get a confirmation email to your account that contains an incident number
(Use it to track all correspondence of the issue you reported.)
